Is InboxGuards legit?

Fair question to ask about anything that asks for access to your company's email tenant. Here are the plain answers, and where you can check them yourself.

Who runs it

InboxGuards is owned and operated by Orion CMD LLC in Omaha, Nebraska. You can reach us at hello@inboxguards.com or 402-650-8407. It is not related to IronVest's "InboxGuard" or to inboxguard.io. There's a separate page on that mix-up.

Where you can verify it

What it asks for

An administrator grants read-only consent. On Google Workspace that is two read-only Admin SDK scopes: audit reports, and directory user details for posture reporting. Gmail message content is not requested. On Microsoft 365 it reads supported audit events. It can't change settings in your tenant, and you can revoke access from your own admin console whenever you want.

What it does not do

What it does do: alerts you when configured takeover signals show up, such as a sign-in from somewhere new, a forwarding rule, a rule that hides mail, or a permission or admin change. Every alert appears on your dashboard, and critical ones are emailed to you. You or your IT person decide what happens next.
