InboxGuards deliberately does not sit between you and an attacker. It does not promise to catch every incident, and DME does not administer or remediate customer tenants through InboxGuards. When a configured signal appears, the alert and a timestamped record go to you. The customer or its authorized MSP decides and performs the response.

InboxGuards uses supported Microsoft audit APIs with customer-admin consent. Event availability, retention, and licensing vary by tenant and workload. Customers must confirm current Microsoft licensing and audit availability for their tenant before relying on a particular event source.
One possible business-email-compromise scenario begins with stolen credentials and a rule that conceals replies from a vendor or client. A criminal may then impersonate a participant and send changed payment instructions. This scenario does not describe every incident, and provider records may be delayed or unavailable. Monitoring supported rule and sign-in records can provide evidence when a configured signal appears; it does not guarantee warning before money moves.
Small and mid-sized businesses on Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace that handle invoices, wire transfers, or client payments, have an authorized administrator or MSP responsible for response, and do not require a staffed security operations service. Regulated environments requiring a BAA or specialized compliance agreement are not supported by the standard product.

An authorized customer administrator must review and grant the requested read-only consent. Monitoring begins after a successful provider connection and scheduled check; provider ingestion and processing can add delay.
